Breast Cancer Awareness Month & Epionce

As everyone should be well aware by now, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month too. There are a number of wonderful non-profit programs that provide great support and educational tools for those who currently have breast cancer and their loved ones, as well as survivors. If this is a topic that is close to your heart, we recommend that you get involved in whatever way makes sense to you.

How can a skin care line relate to breast cancer?
Many patients with any kind of cancer have some kind of radiation treatment to kill the cancer cells – cells that quickly replicate. Unfortunately, this also means that healthy cells that quickly replicate, such as cells that remake the skin barrier, are also destroyed. The skin of cancer patients becomes thin, fragile and susceptible to infections.

The goal of Epionce products is to help repair a damaged skin barrier. Cancer patients have found great relief using Epionce Medical Barrier Cream daily to properly hydrate and repair the skin barrier. The Epionce Milky Lotion Cleanser is also a great cleanser that is extremely gentle and provides cleansing without causing further damage to the skin, unlike many cleansers on the market.

Talk to your physician about whether Epionce products will be a good addition to any treatment regimen.
