Eczema Awareness Month

For anyone who has a loved one who suffers from eczema (also called dermatitis) or who suffers from eczema personally, this is a very important month – Eczema Awareness Month. Eczema can be very debilitating and negatively impact the quality of life for those who have it.

What is Eczema? It is a complex skin disease driven by an unbalanced immune system. Certain immune responses in the body are over exaggerated, while others are not as strong as they should be.

It is also known as the itch that rashes.

What causes the itching? A hypersensitivity to allergens in the environment leads to overactive nerve stimulation. As a result, the skin itches.

Why is the skin dry? There is an imbalance between the natural oils and water in the skin. Also, the skin does not have the correct amount of fatty acids. This means the skin barrier does not work properly to protect the body from the external environment.

What can help? The Epionce Medical Barrier Cream contains the correct ratio of the key fatty acids often deficient in people with eczema. Repair of the skin barrier can help to bring the symptoms of eczema into remission.*

One of our favorite testimonials came from a nurse who is the mother of a boy suffering from eczema. They had tried absolutely every prescription and non-prescription option available to them, but the boy continued to have sleepless nights scratching until he was bloody. Someone gave his mother a tube of Medical Barrier Cream, and she decided to give it a try. Within a short time the boy was sleeping through the night! The lives of the entire family were changed.

Do you or someone you know suffer from eczema? Give Epionce Medical Barrier Cream a try and let us know about your experience via our Facebook or Twitter feed!
